This is a cooperative initiative with the Utah Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Utah Commission on Criminal & Juvenile Justice (CCJJ), and Utah Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to encourage police officers to seek mental health strength as part of an overall officer wellness.
Seeking professional help is not only critical, but it is an incredible sign of strength. The original Greek warriors believed that mental strength was just as important as physical strength. Carrying mental baggage into battle was seen as unsafe and counter-productive. We are no different.
The Greek warriors had a firm belief that a key to a healthy mind is a healthy body. You don't have to be in bodybuilder shape, but studies have shown that regular exercise aids in giving your body and mind the necessary chemicals to heal.
